If You Were the Kitty — A Question for Foreign Diplomats

Part I: The Experiment

In a dark, closed room, many kitties lived their whole lives without knowing about the outside world. They played, slept, and believed the room was everything. They had stories about something called the Outside, but no kitty took them seriously.

Hidden from the kitties was a special mirror. The Boss watched them through it. To the kitties, the mirror was just a wall. But the Boss used it to control and study them.

One day, the Boss wanted to see what would happen if one kitty learned the truth. He carefully chose a quiet kitty and brought it outside. There, he showed the kitty the shocking truth: their room was a cage, and the Boss was turning extra kitties into burgers.

Then, the Boss sent the kitty back with a warning:

"You can tell the truth, but the others will think you are crazy. Speak, and they will ignore you. Stay quiet, and you'll stay safe."

When the kitty returned, it tried to warn its friends. But they didn't believe it. They called the kitty crazy. The kitty felt alone and afraid, but it knew the truth.

Part II: Hidden Control

As the kitty lived with its painful secret, it noticed something else. The other kitties were becoming angry and fighting more. Groups divided by fur color and meal times began to argue and even fight.

The kitty realized the truth: the fights were not natural. The Boss was secretly controlling their minds, making them angry. When the room had too many kitties, he started wars. When he needed more burgers, he created fear. Fear made the meat taste better.

The kitties thought they fought for important reasons, but the Boss was just managing his business.

Part III: Quiet Rebellion

The kitty knew shouting would not help. Instead, it asked quiet questions:

  • Why are we fighting?
  • Who gains from this?
  • Why can't we leave?

The kitty wrote secret messages, blinked strangely, and told stories about the mirror that watched them. It stopped telling kitties what to do and began asking questions.

One day, another kitty stopped to think. It looked carefully at the mirror and blinked slowly back.

The Boss noticed. For the first time, the watcher was being watched. Something started to change.

Part IV: Your Decision

Imagine you are the kitty. You have seen the outside. You know wars are planned, peace is fake, and many suffer so a few can profit.

You return home to friends who don't believe you. They call you crazy, a traitor, or a fool. But you know the truth.

Ask yourself:

  • Would you stay quiet and safe, knowing the truth stays hidden?
  • Would you speak out and risk danger, hoping someone listens?
  • Would you quietly build new friendships and secret ways to share the truth?

A Question for Diplomats

Now imagine you are a diplomat who has discovered uncomfortable truths:

  • Your country might secretly cause conflicts.
  • Alliances are convenient agreements, and enemies might be created.
  • You can tell the truth, but people may not believe you.

Would you stay silent for your safety and career?
Or would you speak up and risk everything to help others see the truth?

The kitty did not ask for this truth.
Now that you know, what will you do?

If you were the kitty, what would you do?
